PRESS RELEASE

17 July 2020, 1-5pm
Online Event | Teens

Calling all teens interested in  film production! Join MCAD’s online workshop “Unpacking Film Production Techniques”, to be held on 17 July, from 1-5pm and which will be facilitated by Anya Zulueta of Benilde’s Digital Filmmaking Program. The event is one of the museum’s  Learning programs for the exhibition Constructions of Truths.

The workshop will cover theoretical and practical aspects of image-creation and narrative-construction in film such as the Kuleshov effect, a film editing technique. In addition, it will discuss key concepts of film language like framing and composition, film continuity and mise-en-scene, which refers to the film’s visuals; the elements that appear on camera and their arrangement.

It will also touch on Post-production, covering the basic interface of the Adobe premiere program, as well as editing principles and concepts like video transitions, audio synching, creating titles, rendering, and translating a script or storyboard into an edited sequence.

To maximize the experience of the workshop, it’s recommended that participants have a basic knowledge of Adobe Premier.
