Internship and Volunteer Opportunities at MCAD Manila

Join MCAD’s Internship and Volunteer Program and contribute to the museum’s mission of creating an inclusionary paradigm where “free access for all” addresses not only a cross-section of social classes, but also of knowledges.

As an intern or volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of professional Museum staff, supporting the work of the curatorial team and also our educational program. The opportunity will focus on development and delivery of the Museum’s upcoming milestones.

The opportunity is open for students at both undergraduate and graduate levels but also for new professionals.

Internship and volunteer positions are varied and flexible. We offer various tracks for interns and volunteers, where tasks are often fast-paced, varied and interdisciplinary. They are unpaid but an arrangement for school credit is possible for those volunteering from De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde. Schedules are flexible and agreed upon in advance with MCAD staff.

Learning and Special Projects Track

The Learning and Special Projects unit of the museum conducts events and activities to promote ideas presented in the exhibition. Depending on the program currently being carried out, you will get involved in tasks related to assisting the implementation of our educational workshops, lectures and film screenings, such as event planning, managing supplies, collateral production, handling online audiences, and arranging the online platforms for these events. 

Curatorial Track

The Curatorial unit of the museum is responsible for researching, planning and putting together MCAD’s exhibitions. As an intern or volunteer, you may assist in carrying out plans for ingress, display of artworks, managing performances, and egress, among others. The range of tasks may cover assistance in research about the featured artist, and with suppliers with the guidance of the Exhibition Head.

Marketing Track

The Marketing unit of the museum is in charge of formulating strategies to engage MCAD’s various audiences and build awareness on the museum’s exhibitions and various learning programs and special events. As an intern or volunteer, you can lend assistance in creative content production and dissemination through various digital platforms, data collection through visitor feedback surveys, social media content creation and marketing audit through report generations.

Design and Media Track

The Design and Media unit of the museum takes care of the production of creative materials used by the museum for its various needs. As an intern or volunteer, you will get the chance to apply your multimedia skills in designing collaterals, as well as providing photo and video documentation and editing for onsite and online museum communications.
