Technology has helped create a DIY-generation and this hands-on spirit has extended to film. Because of the large leaps in technlogy, bigger pixels are now available on even entry-level mobile phones. It’s not just youtube vlogs and music videos that are being made on phones. Today, a number of films have been shot and produced on phones as well. Don’t believe us? Just look at the number of smartphone film festivals that have popped up, from Festival Pocket Films in France, to the iPhone Film Festival and Mobile Film Festival in America and the Olleh International Smartphone Film Festival in South Korea.

Join us next Saturday, 8 April from 10am – 12nn for a free workshop on mobile filmmaking. The only requirement is a mobile phone that can connect to the internet as well as a working account on the Google Playstore or the Apple Store. Unleash your mobile’s potential and learn how to make your own short film!
